Fortnightly letters on AI for revenue leadership in fitness.

Aboutยทthe writer

Ian Mullane has worked in technology for over thirty years, more than twenty-five of them in artificial intelligence. Throughout that period he also owned and operated a fitness business for a decade, running it alongside the technology companies he was building at the same time. That combination โ€” three decades of technology and a decade of hands-on fitness ownership, lived in parallel โ€” is what shapes the perspective of this letter.

In addition to his day job, he is a board member at GymNation, recognised as one of the most technologically advanced operators in the world, which recently secured a $100 million investment from HPS Investment Partners, part of BlackRock, to support its expansion. He also sits on the board of Activity Alliance, the national body for disabled people in sport and physical activity in England.

The Revenue Letter is written from the perspective of a fellow operator. Three decades in technology, more than twenty-five of them in artificial intelligence, and a decade of concurrently running a fitness business alongside it all. It exists because of a passion for AI and a desire to share that experience and knowledge with a wider audience, so that more of the sector can engage with what is and will be one of the most important technological changes of our lifetime.
